Holidays No Deterrent to Great Deals on Homes in Orange County

in Orange County

In the last week there were 170 homes new on the real estate market for sale in South Orange County in cities from Coto de Caza and Aliso Viejo, to Rancho Sana Margarita, and from Newport Beach to San Clemente.  Of those, 15 (almost 10%) SOLD, completed negotiations with buyers and opened escrow in the same week.  Absolutely amazing considering the beginning of Haunaka and Christmas and torrential rains in the Southland.

And because we are watching the three real estate markets (Bank Owned/REO, Short Sales, Equity Owners)  the hottest selling market is still the Bank Owned properties – 28% of the new listings were bank owned, and a 15% of those sold this week.  By the numbers – 48 new REO listings in South Orange County and 7 of them in escrow during the peak of the Holiday Season.  Amazing stats and an amazing time to buy a home in Orange County.  Think the low rates and low prices are bringing out the serious buyers!  Like, totally dude.

Moral of today’s story – serious buyers are not letting the Holidays or the weather interfer with their home search.  Sellers are salivating to recieve your offers.  It is a great time to buy a home in Orange County – what are YOU waiting for?  By the time the papers call it the bottom of the market, it will have already happened.  Get out there and find a great deal on a home for sale in South Orange County – you’ll be glad you did!
